ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

JUNE 8, 2006

7:00  P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Paula Keefe, Ellen Abelson, Richie

                   Gorden and Mark Mazur

1.  The Board signed a notification of acceptance of the law that allows an additional

     exemption amount of 100% for fiscal year 2007.

2.  The Board voted to request authorization from the Commissioner of Revenue to issue

     preliminary tax bills for fiscal year 2007.  This will not obligate us to issue

     preliminary tax bills.  It simply gives the Town the option of doing so.

3.  The Board certified the abatement of two motor vehicle excise bills that were

     certified as uncollectible by the tax collector.

4.  The Board granted a fiscal year 2006 abatement under the authority of M.G.L.

     Chapter 46 Sections 41 and 42 for parcel 101-19.  There was a fire at the property

     on 5/4/06 and a provision of the supplemental assessment of new construction

     directs that an abatement be granted.

5.  The Board considered a request that they reconsider their denial of a CPA exemption

     for FY2006.  The Board decided to let their denial stand.

6.  The Board considered three applications for abatement of Farm Plate excise.  The

     Board denied two applications and approved one.

7.  The Board granted abatements on the following parcels under the authority of M.G.L.

     Chapter 58 Section 8.

8.  The Board granted a clause 41A deferral for fiscal year 2006 for the owner of

     parcel 128-3.

9.  The Board reviewed proposed 2006 EQV figures for the Town of Sharon
